#VoteByMailPHL Poster Project

The #VoteByMailPHL Poster Project launched in May 2020 to encourage Philadelphia residents to apply for a Vote by Mail ballot for the Primary Election. We collaborated with the world-famous, Philadelphia-based art blog StreetsDept, and engaged three diverse designers to create original artwork with clear instructions on how to apply for a Vote by Mail Ballot.

The artwork was available to download for free online at www.streetsdept.com in a standard 8.5x11 format (color or greyscale). Residents with access to a printer were encouraged to print and display the art in their windows, notifying their neighbors that voting by mail is an option. The posters were printed in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese.

Results:

  • 24,000 impressions total via the website, Instagram, Twitter

  • 15,000 posters professionally printed/distributed (by All Voting is Local)

  • 1,464 landing page views (& assumed downloads)

  • Press coverage through WHYY PBS, Philadelphia Inquirer & Philadelphia Tribune
